The Spes Bona initiative for Medical Education was founded in 2020 by young South African and Belgian doctors driven by the same desire to improve the dire living and training conditions of some medical students in low and middle income countries. In order to provide medical education scolarships, they created the Spes Bona Network, composed by two non profit structures in Belgium and South Africa.
